Who we are
A family roofing company that got tired of watching people buy roofs they didn’t need
Nine years under this license. Thirty years of trade experience behind it. We say it that way because the license date is public and checkable, and plenty of contractors round their history up until it stops being true.
We work out of four California markets with our own crews in all of them, and offices in Fresno, Visalia and Sacramento. Fresno is home and always has been.
What we do that most companies don’t is simple, and it isn’t clever. We look properly first — under the tile, into the attic — and then we quote the job the roof actually needs. Often that job is smaller than the one somebody else quoted, which costs us money on paper and has built us a business in practice.
The name
Why the vans still say Service Company
We started as Grandmark Service Company, covering roofing alongside other trades. Roofing is what we became known for and what most of our work has been for years, so we’re now Grandmark Roofing.
Same license, #1030917. Same crews. Same people answering the phone. The vans, some of the yard signs and a few of our Google listings still carry the old name while we work through changing them.
If you find us under either name, it’s us. Heating and air is a separate company on its own domain and is not part of this business.
How we work
Three things that make us different
You see it before you pay for it
Every inspection is recorded. You watch the lifted flashing, the packed valley, the felt crumbling under sound tile — then you decide, with the same information we have. Sometimes the footage shows nothing much is wrong and we say so and leave.
Our crews, not somebody else’s
We don’t subcontract roofing work out, except where a scope genuinely needs a specialist trade. The crew that starts your roof is the crew that finishes it, and we don’t leave until the job is done.
We own the whole job
Solar panels come off and go back on with the electrical handled in-house. Rooftop units get lifted and reset. Nobody stands in your driveway explaining that the roof is one company’s problem and the panels are another’s.
The people
Who’s actually on your roof
Roofing has a reputation problem, and it’s mostly earned. Crews that change halfway through. Estimators who never go on the roof. A different company every time you call.
We hire for integrity and for whether somebody actually cares about doing the work properly, and we keep people by keeping them working year-round rather than laying off every winter. That’s most of why the work looks the same in August as it does in February.
The people who write your estimate are roofers. They can tell you why the valley failed, not just what the number is. If you ask a technical question in your driveway, you’ll get a technical answer.
We answer the phone twenty-four hours, in English and Spanish, including through the answering service.
Credentials
What we’re certified to do
GAF Master Elite
Held by a small percentage of US roofing contractors. It requires licensing, insurance and a track record, and it’s what makes the longer manufacturer warranties available on your roof.
Owens Corning Preferred
A second manufacturer certification, giving you a choice of system rather than whatever one brand we happen to buy.
Certified metal installer
Certified by a local metal roofing manufacturer, which matters because metal is unforgiving of bad detailing and most warranty claims come down to installation.
Licensed, bonded and insured
CSLB #1030917. California requires the license number on advertising, which is why you’ll find it on every page of this site.
Ten-year workmanship warranty
Standard on our work, with extended coverage available up to twenty-five years depending on the system installed. Commercial warranties are handled per project.
Commercial capability
Large-scale flat roof work on buildings that can’t close — a regional hospital campus, a tribal resort casino, recreational venues. Phasing, night crews, and access kept open throughout.

“They sent the nicest young man out to do the job, his name was Joe… polite, courteous, very hard-working.”
“Angel and Antonio are efficient with a great work ethic. Antonio the project manager is communicative and you are given frequent updates until completion of job.”

Frequently asked questions
How long have you been in business?
Nine years under CSLB license #1030917, with thirty years of trade experience behind the company. We word it that way deliberately — the license date is public, so you can check it in about a minute.
Are you Grandmark Roofing or Grandmark Service Company?
Both, for now. We’re changing the name to Grandmark Roofing because roofing is what we do. Same license, same crews, same phone numbers. The vans and some listings still carry the old name while we work through the change.
Do you use subcontractors?
No, not for roofing work, except where a scope genuinely requires a specialist trade. The crew that starts your roof finishes it.
Do you do heating and air?
Not through this company. That’s a separate business on its own domain. If a roof job means lifting a rooftop unit, we handle that as part of the roofing work.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes, day and night, including the answering service.
Easiest way to judge us is to let us look at your roof.
Free inspection, video proof, written flat-rate price. Then you decide, with the same information we have.
